Luxe Lounge Was Voted “Best Med Spa in Lexington” Two Years in a Row!

Luxe Lounge Was Voted “Best Med Spa in Lexington”

Luxe Lounge MedSpa has been voted the Best Med Spa in Lexington for the second year in a row!

Receiving this recognition, again, means a great deal because the Best of Lexington awards come from local votes. In 2025, more than 3,800 businesses, organizations, and individuals were nominated across 239 categories. Lexington residents cast more than 316,000 votes. People care about their hometown favorites around here.

Many of those votes came from clients who trusted us with a first Botox appointment, their skin before a wedding, or a stubborn acne concern. They also came from longtime clients and people who drive across Kentucky because someone they trust recommended Luxe Lounge.

For us, the award reflects the relationships our team has built throughout Lexington. It also opens up a question that’s important to us: What should people expect from a medical spa? What makes a med spa great?

A Good Med Spa Should Make Things Less Confusing

Medical aesthetics can get complicated fast. There are injectables for muscle movement, dermal fillers for lost volume, laser treatments for uneven texture, and skin rejuvenation treatments that support collagen production. New products and devices keep adding to the choices.

Most patients don’t walk through our doors with a treatment plan already mapped out. They come in saying things like, “I look tired even when I’m rested,” or, “My skin has changed, and what I use at home isn’t helping anymore.” Some know the exact treatment they want. Others point to an area and ask what can be done.

A med spa should help you understand your options without making you feel behind. Your provider should explain what is causing the concern, which treatments make sense, and which ones don’t. You should know what recovery looks like, how long results may last, and what the treatment will cost before you commit.

If you’re comparing med spas, pay attention to the consultation. Does the provider ask about your medical history? Do they give risks the same attention as benefits? Will they tell you when a procedure isn’t a good fit? You can meet with more than one provider before deciding. A consultation should help you think, not corner you into an appointment.

That’s how we work at Luxe Lounge.

Our Team Knows When to Treat and When to Pause

A long service menu has value when the people making recommendations know how to use it. Training is a major part of what happens behind the scenes at Luxe Lounge.

Our Lexington med spa team includes registered nurses, a board-certified nurse practitioner, medical injectors, and licensed medical estheticians. Their backgrounds cover nursing, emergency medicine, dermatology, facial aesthetics, cosmetic lasers, injectables, and corrective skin care.

Jenny Ash, RN, is an owner and certified Master Injector for fillers and toxins. Her training also includes advanced facial aesthetics and cosmetic laser treatments. Alyssa Fleming, FNP-C, is an owner, medical director, and board-certified nurse practitioner who continues her aesthetic education through advanced training and national conferences.

Our medical estheticians bring deep experience with HydraFacial, microneedling, chemical peels, acne care, laser treatments, waxing, lashes, brows, and medical-grade products. Each person has a clear role. An injectable question goes to a medical injector. A concern about acne, texture, or a skincare routine goes to someone who spends her days working with skin.

Experience also teaches a provider when to slow down. Sometimes the right call is a smaller amount of product. A skin treatment may need to wait because the barrier is irritated. A recent tan may move a laser appointment. The procedure a patient asks for may have little to do with the problem they want to fix. We’d rather explain that than sell someone the wrong appointment.

You Won’t Get the Same Plan as the Person Before You

Two people can point to the same area and need different things.

One person may see heaviness around the mouth because the midface has lost support. Another may have strong facial muscles pulling the corners downward. A patient concerned about a soft jawline may have submental fat, loose skin, limited chin projection, or a mix of all three. Treating those patients the same way would make no sense.

The same goes for skin. Brown spots, redness, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven texture don’t respond to one universal treatment. Skin types and skin tones can change which device is appropriate, how it should be set, and how the skin needs to be prepared. Sun exposure, active skin conditions, medications, and the products sitting on your bathroom counter may change the timing too.

We need the ordinary details too. What have you tried? Did your skin react? How much downtime can you handle? Is there an event on the calendar? Do you want one focused treatment or a longer plan for your overall skin quality?

We call the time we spend working through those questions “Quality Time.” It’s part of the Luxe Lounge treatment experience from the first consultation forward. You deserve room to ask questions and make a decision without feeling pushed.

We’re Big Believers in the “Tweak-Ment”

The fear of looking frozen or overfilled keeps plenty of people from making their first injectable appointment. Most people don’t want a new face. They want a refreshed appearance that still looks like them.

Our injectors call this the art of the “tweak-ment.”

A tweak-ment could mean softening frown lines while keeping movement in the brows. Botox and Dysport relax selected facial muscles that create dynamic wrinkles, but the dose should reflect how your face moves and how much movement you want to keep.

For a lip filler patient, it may mean improving border definition or restoring a small amount of volume without changing the basic shape of the lips. Dermal fillers can also support the cheeks, soften folds, or improve facial contours. Sculptra takes more time and encourages collagen production, while Kybella addresses fat beneath the chin. These treatments aren’t interchangeable.

Natural results take restraint. They also take a strong understanding of facial anatomy, product behavior, and proportion. Following the same formula on every face is how treatment begins to look generic.

Our injectable treatment plans are built around the person in the chair. The treatment should work with your unique features and natural beauty.

A Full Menu Helps Us Make Better Recommendations

Every practice has treatments it loves. The benefit of offering several good options is that we don’t have to ask one procedure to solve every problem.

Injectables Have Different Jobs

Luxe Lounge offers Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, lip filler, Sculptra, Radiesse, Kybella, and facial balancing. One patient may want to reduce wrinkles caused by muscle movement. Another needs lost volume restored through the cheeks. Someone else may be interested in a lip flip, a more balanced profile, or gradual collagen support.

Good injectable work starts before the needle. The provider needs to understand your medical history, previous filler, facial movement, and goal. A lip filler appointment and a full-face balancing plan require different products, techniques, and amounts. Treating both as “filler” leaves out most of the decision-making.

A Laser Needs a Good Plan Behind It

Laser technology gets a lot of attention. The machine matters. So do the person selecting the settings, the condition of your skin, and the care you give it afterward.

Our laser treatments include HALO TRIBRID, MOXI, BBL, IPL, laser skin resurfacing, and other options for the face and body. Laser resurfacing may help improve texture, sun damage, acne scars, redness, fine lines, enlarged pores, or uneven pigmentation. Some treatments focus closer to the surface. Others reach deeper layers to support collagen production.

Recovery is part of choosing the treatment. A lighter session may leave the skin pink or rough for a short time. A stronger laser skin resurfacing treatment can bring several days of redness, dryness, or flaking. If you have meetings all week or a wedding on Saturday, that information belongs in the plan.

So does your recent sun exposure. A tan, active breakout, disrupted skin barrier, or certain skin conditions may mean waiting. After treatment, sun protection and the right skincare routine help preserve the improvement and protect healing skin.

Good Skin Care Fills the Gaps Between Bigger Treatments

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels that prompt a healing response and new collagen production. It may refine skin texture, soften acne scars, reduce the look of enlarged pores, and support firmer skin. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency energy for another level of tissue stimulation.

Chemical peels work closer to the surface. The solution and strength are selected around the concern, skin type, and amount of recovery the patient can manage. Some people benefit from a series. Others need more time between treatments. There isn’t one schedule that works for every face.

HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts debris, and hydrates the skin in one session. It can be a useful maintenance treatment for clearer pores and smoother texture without significant downtime. Customized facials and medical-grade products also help keep progress moving between laser treatments, peels, or microneedling sessions.

A good home routine doesn’t need twelve steps. It needs products that suit your skin and enough consistency to let them work. Our licensed estheticians can help clients stop buying products that duplicate each other or irritate the same problem they’re trying to fix.

Some Treatments Make Everyday Life Easier

Laser hair removal provides long-term reduction of unwanted hair and can cut down on shaving or waxing across many areas of the body. Hair color, skin tone, treatment area, and the hair-growth cycle all affect the number of sessions and device settings. It isn’t a one-appointment fix, and it isn’t accurate to promise that every hair will be gone forever.

Waxing, lash lifts, tinting, brow shaping, and brow lamination help clients spend less time getting ready or feel more put together. These services may be simpler than laser resurfacing or injectables, but the quality of the treatment experience still counts.

Good Results Need a Plan After the Appointment

Some treatments make sense as a one-time appointment. Others work best as part of a longer plan. Botox wears off. Skin continues to age and respond to sun exposure. Collagen-building treatments take time. Laser hair removal follows the hair-growth cycle. A skincare routine works through regular use, not a heroic effort the week before an event.

Maintenance should also fit the budget. The Luxe Beauty Bank lets clients put membership fees toward eligible treatments and products while receiving member pricing. Depending on the membership level, clients may use one facial per month or bank those funds for another service. Members also receive a discount on retail products.

For clients who already value regular care, the Beauty Bank offers a practical way to plan ahead and get greater value from the services they use.

Two Years Reflects Consistent Care

Winning a community award two years in a row gives us plenty to celebrate. It also sets a clear expectation for every new med spa patient who walks into Luxe Lounge. Maintaining that standard takes work across the whole practice. Our providers continue training as aesthetic medicine develops. The front desk team learns the names and preferences of the people who visit us. Our patients share feedback, ask smart questions, and tell us what makes an appointment worth returning for. That day-to-day consistency is what this second award means to us.

Your First Visit Can Start With a Question

You don’t need to know which treatment to book ahead of time. You can start by telling us what has been bothering you.

Maybe your makeup has started settling into wrinkles it never used to catch. You may have noticed more sun damage after another Kentucky summer. You could be curious about lip filler but want the change kept subtle. You may want skincare tips and need help deciding where your money will do the most good.

Your provider will review the concern, your medical history, previous treatments, schedule, and budget. You’ll talk through expected results, risks, cost, and recovery. Some patients choose treatment that day. Others go home and think about it. There’s room for either choice.

Luxe Lounge is in Lexington’s Chevy Chase neighborhood at 867 East High Street, less than five minutes from the University of Kentucky. Parking is available in front and behind the complex.
